Interlibrary Loan Services
Can’t find it in our catalog? If another library has the item in their circulating collection, we will try to borrow it for you. If the item was published more than 6 months ago, CLPL cardholders can request to borrow it from other libraries per our Interlibrary Loan Policy. Please contact the Adult Services Department at 815.459.1687, x7 to initiate an Interlibrary Loan request or if you have any questions.
Library Catalogs
- Find More Illinois – a state-wide library catalog where you can initiate your own Interlibrary Loan request. Search for the item you want, then click “Request This Item.” You’ll need to log in with your CLPL card.
- PrairieCat Library Catalog – the online catalog for some Northern Illinois libraries
- SILC: Statewide Illinois Library Catalog – catalog of books and other materials in many Illinois libraries
- WorldCat.org – the world’s most comprehensive database of information about library collections
- Library of Congress – contains over 20 million catalog records for books, serials, manuscripts, maps, music, recordings, images, and electronic resources in the Library of Congress collections
