Join our 2026 Winter Reading Program: Take Me to Your Readers! Children who read 900 minutes will receive a book and prize. You can register and track your reading minutes online at CrystalLakeLibrary.Beanstack.org. Or, register in person in Youth Services and pick up a paper reading log (you can download the form below).
The Winter Reading Program is open to CLPL cardholders and children (and their siblings) who attend school in Crystal Lake. Registration is required.

How to use Beanstack

Tracking your minutes online is easy with Beanstack.
- Visit CrystalLakeLibrary.Beanstack.org
- Click the “Sign In” button in the upper right corner
- Enter your log-in information
- To log minutes, click the “Log Reading” button in the top left corner. Choose who you want to log for—yourself or other readers connected to your account. Choose if you want to log minutes.
- Log Minutes: Type the number of minutes you read under “Time Spent Reading.” You do NOT have to complete the “Title” or “Author” sections. Click on the “Log” button.
